Various supramolecular interactions are applied as driving forces in self-assembly and molecular recognition processes. Single crystal X-ray diffraction method is especially important for solid-state studies of non-covalent interactions as it reveals their influence on the molecular and supramolecular structures. Despite the immense growth in interest in difluoroborate dyes, the nature of the interactions of the boron atom within the N-BF2 -O kernel is not yet fully understood. Herein, a set of real-space bonding indicators is used to quantify the electronic characteristics of the dative N-B bond in difluoroborate derivatives. Two types of experiments conducted to investigate the effect of pressure on the spin crossover (SCO) properties of the 2D Fe(II) coordination polymer formulated {Fe[bipy(ttr)2]}n are reported, namely, (1) magnetic measurements performed at variable temperature and at fixed pressure and (2) visible spectroscopy at variable pressure and fixed temperature. The magnetic experiments carried out under a hydrostatic pressure constraint of 0.04, 0.08, and 0.8 GPa reveal a two-step spin transition behavior. The electrochemical synthesis of pyrazolidine-3,5-diones and benzoxazoles by N-N bond formation and C,O linkage, respectively, represents an easy access to medicinally relevant structures. Electrochemistry as a key technology ensures a safe and sustainable approach. We gained insights in the mechanism of these reactions by combining cyclovoltammetric and synthetic studies. The catalytic ability of some functionalised diimidazolium ionic liquids was tested using the Michael addition of malononitrile to t-chalcone as probe reaction. Three cobalt dipyrrin-bisphenol (DPPCo) complexes with different meso-aryl groups (pentafluorophenyl, phenyl, and mesityl) were synthesized and characterized based on their electrochemistry and spectroscopic properties in nonaqueous media.
